● Serve as the School’s champion, lead brand ambassador, and storyteller – creating differentiated content and campaigns that increase awareness, enhance the Schools' image and foster engagement.
● In collaboration with the other members of the Schools leadership Team, produce and execute effective school internal and external applications – focused on email marketing to promote events, programs, and admissions cycle. Applications also include photography, videos, newsletters, brochures, and promotional materials.
● Support the Schools, Temple staff, and stakeholders in their efforts to promote the Schools to target audiences.
● Act as the liaison with the Temple Communications Team, to align strategies and ensure that the communications and marketing needs of the Schools are represented and integrated.

Daily Responsibilities:
Management & Coordination

● Work closely with the Wilshire Boulevard Temple Communications Department to coordinate communication calendars, messaging, and priorities.
● Collaborate with the Temple to create synergies and maximize the use of resources to promote the Schools within the Wilshire Boulevard Temple community and to external target audiences.

Content Creation & Messaging
● Provide writing and editing support for the School’s leadership for the Heads of School and Executive Director of Education as needed, and on high-impact communication, including crisis communications and speaking engagements.
● Write and edit press releases, letters, articles, stories, and backgrounders that promote the Schools and the Temple as appropriate.
● Contribute to the content creation for the Schools website, including day-to-day
updates, making sure they are current, free of errors, informative, secure, and easy to use.

Digital & Social Media
● In collaboration with the Temple Social Media Manager, coordinate and supervise the unique content channels for the Schools, including blogs, podcasts, constituent spotlights, and other social media channels.
● Maximize the use of the Schools websites to promote the value proposition of the Schools among all stakeholders, attract new families, recruit new employees, and raise the public profile of the School.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support
● Provide support to other departments (e.g. recruitment, retention, alumni relations, and development) in creating communications materials, including Schools’ annual reports and yearbooks.
● Build and cultivate relationships with faculty, students, and staff and encourage all parties to share marketing content; work with all constituents to develop user-generated content.
● Ensure that individuals creating materials – internal and external agencies – are well equipped with the tools and resources they need to create cohesive communications that reinforce the Schools’ brands.

Market & Performance Analysis
● Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and, in turn, adjust plans and tactics accordingly.
● Research and stay on top of trends in communications and marketing, particularly with an eye on the independent school market. Make recommendations to apply accordingly, especially in digital marketing and social media.
